I had just returned to work after having my second baby when I was informed that I was going to have two trips coming up each a week long. He was 5 months at the time of the trip and I was determined to continue breastfeeding for as long as I could. Luckily a co-worker told me about Milk Stork! It seemed easy enough and I was so excited to have a resource to send home my milk! Flash forward to my first trip and I had my box all ready to go to FedEx to ship out. I got to FedEx and I had missed the pick-up for shipping over night! I was devastated! I had enough in the freezer for my baby to last another few days, but I had already activated the box! According to the instructions, it was going to stay cold for 72 hours, but I was skeptical! And my poor co-worker had to comfort me while I cried on the way back to the hotel! Still, I left the box of my precious milk at FedEx to be shipped the next day. I flew home in the morning and anxiously waited for Saturday morning when I would get my milk. It showed up on my doorstep and was still ice cold!!! I was so thrilled and relieved! My second trip was more seamless because I called the local FedEx to get the time of the last pick-up. Thank you Milk Stork for making my breastfeeding journey possible! My baby is now 10 months old and we are still breastfeeding!
